Epworth Children’s Home is seeking a Part-Time Physical Education Specialist
JOB SUMMARY: The part time Physical Education Specialist will provide physical education,
sports, and recreational opportunities to clients living on the Epworth campus. Assist the
Director of Activities with supervising activities. Create lesson plans for teaching physical
education. Provide structured group activities for clients. Plan individual and team sports opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in recreational therapy, recreation or
physical education.
REQUIRED SKILLS: Experience planning and engaging in physical activity with children
and youth. Flexibility and ability to work with minimal supervision. Have a belief system and
engages in faith practices that are compatible with those of the United Methodist Church. Must
be able to pass standard background checks, including drug screen, employment physical, SLED,
DSS Central Registry and Sex Offenders Registry.
