The Clergy Retirement Security Program provides lifetime income and account flexibility for retired United Methodist clergy. The program is designed to provide participants with a portion of their overall retirement benefits.

The insurance program of the South Carolina Conference is designed to provide eligible clergy and lay employees and their eligible dependents, with a comprehensive plan for major medical benefits and a Medicare supplement.

Retiree Health Plan

Eligibility

To qualify for the Retiree Health Plan, participants must have been covered in the conference health care plan for 10 years continuous and consecutive at the time of retirement.┬áSpouses are eligible if they were covered in the conference health care plan for five years continuous and consecutive at the time of participant’s retirement.

Subsidy: $200/month for each eligible person
