“Since beginning her tenure with us, we have been blessed by her dedication to our mission and, most importantly, by her strong ability to effectively collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure that our residents’ needs are met,” the Killingsworth Board of Directors said in a statement.

“Lollis’ fresh ideas and interaction with the community have proven invaluable to our organization…We are confident that she will help us to continue our pursuit of the more excellent way of Jesus Christ – the way of love through service to God and to one another.”

She succeeds the Rev. Diane Moseley, who retired last year after four decades as Killingsworth’s executive director.

Lollis has a professional background in nonprofit organization and donor relations, most recently as donor relations manager for Harvest Hope Food Bank of the Pee Dee. She is a graduate of the Non-Profit Leadership Institute at Francis Marion University.

Killingsworth opened in the 1940s with a mission to support, empower and advocate for women from crisis situations. It is a ministry of the United Methodist Women, who assist with financial support, resourcing and training for the staff and the board of directors.

United Methodists across South Carolina contribute volunteer services and fundraising support, with additional support being raised by individuals, corporations, church groups, community-based organizations, grants and fees paid by the residents.

Killingsworth is one of 16 Advance Special Ministries supported by the South Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church.

“Through the prayers of many, motivated volunteers and generous donations,” Lollis said, “we will continue our great mission.”
