Conference and district boards, commissions, committees and councils provide tangible leadership opportunities for persons interested in reflecting and sharing the purpose of the South Carolina Annual Conference.

The Conference Committee on Nominations strives to assemble a diverse and inclusive conference leadership team that reflects the distinctiveness of the South Carolina Conference. We are excited and grateful that you are considering offering your time and talents to the glory of God. This prayerful self-nomination process is a way of affirming your recognition of the spiritual gifts you have been given.

If you feel called to serve, but you are not sure on which body, please consider employing this Spiritual Gifts Assessment, a tool provided by the United Methodist Church to help individuals identify their God-given gifts for living faithfully as Christian disciples day by day and to find meaningful ways to use their gifts in connection with others through the community of faith.

The buttons below provide brief descriptions of the ministries in which you or someone you know may be nominated for leadership. Click on the buttons to read more about any ministry you feel called to serve.

Nominations for the 2020-2024 Quadrennium – beginning Sept. 1, 2020, and running through the 2024 Annual Conference – will be voted on by delegates to the 2020 Annual Conference, which will meet June 7-10 in Florence. The Conference Committee on Nominations reviews all nominations before making its recommendations to Annual Conference.

We greatly appreciate the time and energy given in leadership of the conference and the 12 districts.

Applications are accepted year-round, but the annual deadline is Jan. 31.
