Connectional Ministries equips and empowers local churches of the South Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church for the mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
Connecting local congregations in shared ministry is the prayerful effort of Connectional Ministries. These connections are established in three ways:
- District Connectional Ministries offer a connection to local ministries and provide resources for advocacy, discipleship, lay leadership and outreach.
- Conference Connectional Ministries is represented by clergy and laity from across the conference, connecting local churches by offering ministry opportunities, training and resources that equip and empower them to be effective in advocacy, discipleship, lay leadership and outreach.
- Congregational Specialists are assigned to each of the districts as partners with local churches to engage them in equipping and empowering their congregations to discern and fulfill their God-given call to ministry.
