Pastor of Congregational Care
(Reports to: Senior Pastor)
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with the Congregational Care Team.
- Share in hospital, home bound, and nursing home visitation.
- Along with the Congregational Care Team, recruit, train, and resource lay visitation teams.
- Help recruit and resource the Stephen Ministry Team.
- Attend staff meetings for planning, vision casting, and coordination.
- Lead and/or assist with worship as requested.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- A committed Christian, team player, and lifelong learner, who shares a love for the mission of the United Methodist Church, with an understanding of its doctrine and polity.
- Heart of compassion for the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of others.
- Relevant experience that demonstrates training, leadership, and commitment.
- Passionate about the equipping and care of laity.
Terms of Employment:
- The position is 24 hours per week.
- Salary package to be negotiated
- Probationary hiring period of 90 days in the position
