Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church is seeking a pastorally oriented, person of faith, who is caring, creative, flexible, organized, self-starting, and accepting to serve as the Director of Youth Ministries. The successful candidate will report to the Sr. Minister and work with all church staff and lay leadership to maintain integration of Youth Ministries into the full life of the church and promote it within the community. The successful candidate will oversee all elements of Youth Ministries and guide the youth fellowship to be a safe, accepting, inclusive, affirming environment, which builds personal and spiritual growth, love and acceptance for one another, a commitment to Christian mission and service, an understanding of the teachings of Christ, and faith in God’s word.

Required qualifications include two years of leadership experience in youth ministries, an understanding and endorsement of United Methodist Wesleyan Theology, and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Other sought-after qualifications include sharp organizational skills, experience in volunteer recruitment, program development, worship planning, group facilitation, and recreational play. Salary is deemed competitive in the church/non-profit market, is commensurate with qualifications and experience, carries full benefits, and may be in the range of $44,000 to $51,000.
