JOB SUMMARY: Epworth seeks a qualified individual who will coordinate and oversee all areas related to Epworth’s Foster Care programs.  The Senior Director of Foster Care will provide supervision and oversight of the foster care program.  Provide supervision to the local directors of the Foster Care program.  Facilitate and coordinate best practices that maintain the highest level of safety, security and quality care for all clients in the Foster Care program.

The Senior Director of Foster Care will generate data regarding referrals, outcomes and incidents.  Effectively manage and continuously work with Directors to market, grow, and expand the Foster Care program across the state. Maintain program licensure as a child placing agency.  Assist in training and credentialing of staff in order to comply with treatment needs, internal policy, fiscal and regulatory requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling.  Must become a certified Together Facing the Challenge trainer within 1 year of hire.  Prior experience working with a child placing agency is highly desired.

REQUIRED SKILLS:  Five years of experience working with children in the child welfare system.  Three years of supervisory experience.  Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and know or have the ability to quickly learn any database system.  Experience with data collection, data analysis and quality assurance reporting.

Must be able to pass standard background checks, including: drug screen, SLED, DSS Central Registry and Sex Offender Registries.  Have a belief system and engages in faith practices that are compatible with those of the United Methodist Church.
