The empowerment of women, children and youth, inclusion and equity, anti-racism and multiculturalism, fair labor practices, and economic and environmental stewardship and sustainability.

Purpose

United Methodist Women is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church

Mission Initiatives

The entire program and organization of United Methodist Women focuses on mission. Our mission initiatives include providing opportunities to grow spiritually, equipping women and girls to be leaders, providing transformative educational experiences, organizing for growth and flexibility, and working for justice through service and advocacy.

True to our Wesleyan heritage, mission cannot be solely charity but involves empowerment and advocacy
for social change. By combining the two, we can be witnesses to the love and life of Jesus Christ.
