JOB SUMMARY:  The IT Technician willprovide support for all areas of IT. Update systems, troubleshoot problems, and provide hands-on support for IT issues within the organization. Perform minor and major repairs of all IT equipment, as well as regular maintenance and troubleshooting for all IT equipment. The IT Technician will be responsible for keeping systems up to date, monitoring network equipment and servers, assisting with new software, setting up equipment for new users, and providing technical support to staff as needed. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or related field required. CompTIA A+, CompTIA Net+ certification or other related IT professional certification. Experience working with network and server management support. Previous experience as a help desk technician, computer technician or IT support preferred.REQUIRED SKILLS: Up to date knowledge of new systems, information, software and upgrades. Ability to physically stand, bend, squat and lift equipment. Valid driver’s license.

Must be able to pass standard background checks, including: drug screen, employment physical, SLED, DSS Central Registry, FBI and Sex Offenders Registry. Has a belief system and engages in faith practices that are compatible with those of the United Methodist Church.
