Aldersgate Special Needs Ministry – born at the 2003 South Carolina Annual Conference – provides homes for adults with developmental disabilities.

Aug. 12, 2018, is designated as Aldersgate Special Needs Sunday by the South Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church. Please consider a special offering on this day, or choose another Sunday that works for your church.

At Aldersgate’s three homes, residents are encouraged to be as independent as possible and are integrated into the community. Trained staff provides care in a Christian environment.

Aldersgate does not receive funds from apportionments and depends on contributions from churches, groups and individuals.

Adults with special needs are among the most underserved people in South Carolina and the nation. As caregivers age, the need for full-time care for adults with special needs continues to grow.

Aldersgate thanks those churches and individuals who have faithfully contributed. Your support makes it possible to care for our homes and residents, as well as plan for expansion.
