Greensboro First United Methodist Church – one church with two campuses located in the heart of Georgia’s lake country – is making disciples for Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. We are currently looking for our next Director of Youth Ministries to join our pastors, staff, volunteers and congregation in this ministry of making disciples specifically for youth and their families. Responsibilities of this new staff person will include but are not limited to being an active member in the life of the congregation; building working relationships with youth, parents of youth, staff, and the congregation; recruiting adult volunteers; working with parents, youth, and volunteers in planning and promoting ministry opportunities; providing general oversight of all ministries involving youth including specifically planning teaching opportunities (including planning and conducting the Confirmation experience) using United Methodist curriculum, leading retreats, promoting United Methodist camps, planning opportunities of mission outreach, growing the number of youth our ministry reaches by providing outreach to the surrounding community and schools; and planning and managing a financial budget for youth ministry.
This position is full-time with 32 hours expected weekly. Salary is dependent upon applicable experience, education, and other qualifications.
