First UMC, Gastonia, NC, (fumcgastonia.org) is seeking a person who has a strong sense of ministry to lead a comprehensive music/choir/arts program for all ages. First UMC is a 1,500-member growing downtown church with three worship services and a history of excellence in ministry and mission.
Previous experience directing church music ministries required. Masters degree in music and theological education preferred. The Director supervises the Organist, Music Associate, Contemporary Worship Leader, and additional volunteer music staff.
We are looking for a team player to help with general ministry areas on a large staff. Applicants who are ordained Deacons in the UMC are preferred, but not required. Position available in July, 2020.
