Epworth Children’s Home seeks a qualified individual to oversee all administrative functions of the Community-Based Program using the Homebuilders Model. Build a team of Homebuilders Specialists and assures team compliance with training requirements. Assure that services are provided by Community-Based Specialist(s) under the Homebuilders Model with fidelity to all families and youth referred by the Departments of Social Services or other referral sources.

The Director will ensure that, prior to the provision of direct services, staff will receive periodic and regular training about relevant child welfare topics including, but not limited to, substance abuse, adolescent development, psychotropic medication and education management, working with families, concurrent child welfare permanency planning, domestic violence, teen relationship abuse, HIV/AIDS, behavior modification and management, child development disorders, Lesbian, Gay, Bi- Sexual, Transgender, Queer and Questioning (LGBTQQI+), gender identity and expression, sexually acting-out, crisis intervention and trauma theory.

The Director will be required to work closely with the HOMEBUILDERS® consultant as required by model trainers and cooperate with record reviews and onsite visits. Submit an annual report detailing plan for on-going sustainability of services. Serve as a liaison between Epworth and referral sources. Supervise three to five Community –Based Specialists.

QUALIFICATIONS: Licensed by the South Carolina Department of Licensing Labor and Regulation (SCLLR) as one of the following: Licensed Psychologist (LP), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Independent Social Worker- Clinical Practice (LISW-CP), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), or Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPCA). Independent License preferred, Provisional License required.

REQUIRED SKILLS: One year of supervisory experience. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and know or have the ability to quickly learn any database system.

Must be able to pass standard background checks, including: drug screen, SLED, DSS Central Registry and Sex Offender Registries. Have a belief system and engages in faith practices that are compatible with those of the United Methodist Church.
