Union United Methodist Church in Irmo SC is interviewing applicants for a custodian/ general maintenance position. This position is full time (37.5 hours) with benefits and may include weekend work depending on church calendar.
Duties and responsibilities include cleaning all church facilities; setting up and breaking down tables and platforms; and performing minor general maintenance such as minor plumbing and electrical repairs, carpentry, painting, and woodwork; basic appliance and furniture upkeep, and identification of supplies, materials, and equipment as needed.
We are looking for someone with previous experience in cleaning and maintenance, the ability to perform manual labor and lift 50lbs or more, and the ability to stand/work for 8 hours per day.
The ideal candidate must exhibit Christian character and a love for Jesus Christ and have at least a high school diploma. Requirements include a valid SC motor vehicle operator’s license, ability to pass a drug test, and submission to a background investigation.
