RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM:
Children live on campus in homelike cottages with a maximum of ten children with one adult caregiver, one cottage coordinator, and two residential counselors per cottage. The children are grouped by age and gender, ranging from ages five to eighteen years. Children participate in scheduled activities provided by the activities staff such as organized team sports, church groups and scouts.

CHURCH SERVICES:
Located on campus is the Epworth Memorial United Methodist Church. Church school classes and Sunday worship are offered every week. The children are encouraged to participate beyond the services by joining the choir or serving as ushers or acolytes. United Methodist Youth Foundation (UMYF) is also available to middle and high school students.

CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES & SPECIAL NEEDS:
Established as a ministry to young children with disabilities and special needs and their families. The Epworth Early Intervention Center program provides a specialized pre-school setting for children ages birth to five years. In-home family training is also available for infants and toddlers under the age of three. In our specialized pre-school, teachers and parents work together to develop goals and activities designed to help each child reach his or her greatest potential. The home-based Family Training Component provides emotional support for the family, along with weekly visits by an Early Intervention Specialist.

AFTER-SCHOOL ENRICHMENT PROGRAM:
Epworth provides educational care for students grades K-12 through the Barnes Learning Center (BLC), the tutoring facility located on campus. The BLC is open daily for after-school enrichment in all subject areas.

HIGHER EDUCATION:
A program for older youth who have reached an age of majority or who have graduated high school. While a few of these young people live on campus, most are in other settings pursuing higher education. All receive help based upon their individualized plan of care and are supervised by Epworth staff.

Banyan Senior Living was founded in Greenville, South Carolina in March, 1987 with the goal of becoming the premier provider of service based housing and other services, in a continuum of care environment, to Senior adults. Central to Banyan's strategy for success is the employment, ongoing training and empowerment of a team of competent professionals with substantial relevant experience and / or education in their respective disciplines. They must understand that ours is a service business, recognize the unique needs of Senior adults and be committed to meeting those needs with compassion and understanding. From its inception, Banyan has continually tweaked its strategy to accommodate an evolving marketplace but its core strategy, implemented within the context of a continuum of care paradigm has proven to be the right strategy for the long term.
