Revolution 2017 drew nearly 2,000 United Methodist youth from across South Carolina to Columbia for three days of worship, message, music, fellowship and service on Jan. 27-29.

Students, adult youth advisors, pastors, district superintendents and others – including Bishop L. Jonathan Holston, who led the Sunday worship service and communion – descended on the Township Auditorium in downtown Columbia.

The youth also dedicated several hours on Saturday to mission work, breaking off into district-centered gatherings to help make mats and pillows for homeless veterans and shoes for African children.

All of the messages, worship, song and even the mission work were centered on the theme for Revolution 2017: “Re-purpose.” In addition to speaker Brock Morgan and worship leader Tauren Wells, youth took the stage to lead the crowd in prayer and share music, song and other talents.
