The South Carolina Conference of The United Methodist Church has a long-standing connection to Africa University through our prayers, presence, gifts, service and witness.

The 2017 Bishop’s Africa University Golf Tournament – 11 a.m. Sept. 25 at Cobblestone Park Golf Club in Blythewood – provides two ways to help raise money for Africa University student scholarships.

You can play and you can be an individual, business or church sponsor at one of several levels. With your participation and sponsorship, the goal is to raise at least $10,000 as the conference continues to celebrate Africa University’s 25th anniversary.

Players

The captain’s choice tournament is limited to 35 four-person teams. Registration fee is $100 per person, and single participants are encouraged to attend. Please register by Sept. 22 by contacting Ronald Friday at 803-210-6103 or rdougfriday@yahoo.com.

Registration will begin at 10 a.m., with a shotgun start at 11 a.m. at Cobblestone Park Golf Club, 280 University Club Parkway, Blythewood. All golfers will receive refreshments, gift bags and dinner. An awards ceremony and acknowledgment of sponsors will follow the tournament.
