Adult Ministries

The 2019 UMCSC Adult Spiritual Retreat is scheduled for Jan. 29-31, at the Landmark Resort in Myrtle Beach.

Rev. Nelson

The Rev. Angela Ford Nelson, pastor of Good Hope Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Camden, will be the keynote speaker. There also will be opportunities for study, workshops, recreation and fellowship. Qualifies for 1 CEU.

The retreat – hosted by Adult Ministries of the South Carolina Annual Conference – costs $185, which includes four meals and two receptions. The commuter rate (for locals not staying at the Landmark Resort) is $100, which includes two receptions.

Once you register for the retreat, you will receive an email confirmation. Call the phone number in that email to book your room(s) at the group rate. One person should make a reservation on behalf of everyone staying in the room. All rooms are oceanfront standard double or king:

  • 1 person per room: $170 for two nights
  • 2 people per room: $170 for two nights
  • 3 people per room: $201 for two nights
  • 4 people per room: $215 for two nights

     Matthew 25: Ministries accepts donations of empty plastic pill bottles for   

     inclusion in shipments of medical supplies and for shredding and recycling.  

     Our pill bottle program fulfills the dual needs of improving medical care in developing countries and caring for our environment.

Acceptable collection items include:

– Prescription and over-the-counter pill bottles

– Large and small pill bottles

– Pill Bottles with and without secure caps (child-resistant)
