Pastors moving from solo staffed or part-time staff to full-time staff responsibilities are encouraged to attend “Staff Leadership Training – Need to Know, Good to Know, and Best to Know,” a learning opportunity sponsored by the Bishop’s Cabinet and the Office of Congregational Development of the South Carolina Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.

The training is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. April 24, 2018, at Francis Burns United Methodist Church, 5616 Farrow Road, Columbia.

The session is designed for pastors moving into full-time staff responsibilities and those who desire to refresh with 2018 information about teamwork and team building. The goal: Intentional leadership by the lead pastor, which can create a team that multiplies leadership in ministry settings.

Event facilitators will be the Rev. Kathy James, director of Connectional Ministries of the South Carolina Annual Conference, and Jim Griffith, the founder of Griffith Coaching whose expertise centers on training and coaching churches.

A $10 fee will help cover the cost of lunch and refreshments. Attendees will earn .30 CEU.
