Bishop L. Jonathan Holston, resident bishop of the South Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church, will lead a missional awareness experience to Guatemala in July – and you can join him.
On the trip, scheduled for July 13-17, 2018, Bishop Holston will:
- Attend the inauguration and blessing of the Medical Clinic Bethesda at Quetzaltenango.
- Visit the children’s ministry in Chusajcaba.
- Get to know indigenous Methodist denominations.
The Rev. Luke Rhyee, a medical doctor and an elder in full connection with the South Carolina Conference, is the founder and president of Healing Guatemala, a non-profit organization established to bring holistic healing to Guatemala.
Healing Guatemala’s vision is, “Healing from disease, healing from poverty, healing of soul.”
The $1,400 cost of the Missional Awareness Experience includes a round-trip flight, lodging, transportation and most meals.
