Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Together we mourn the se
nseless, violent deaths of the nine persons gathered for Christian fellowship and study at Emmanuel AME Church in Charleston Wednesday night. We United Methodists have an opportunity to collectively express our love and concern for these victims and their families by receiving an offering on their behalf in the coming days and weeks. Offerings may be directed to the South Carolina annual conference on behalf of Emmanuel AME Church. All offerings received will be directed to the church to use for the grieving families, congregation and community. Individuals may contribute through the annual conference website and local churches may do so through their regular means of connectional giving.
