Job Opportunity: Trinity United Methodist Church is seeking a qualified Kindergarten Director of their established 85-100 student Kindergarten/ After School program in Greenville. The Kindergarten currently covers the ages of infant through 4 year olds, in addition to an after school program.

Summary of Job-Specific Responsibilities:

Responsible for planning, development, implementation, presentation, and evaluation of the child care program of Trinity United Methodist Church's Kindergarten and After School Program.

Recognizes and communicates status and needs of the program to the Kindergarten Board, Staff-Parish Relations Committee, and pastor.

Recruits, trains, schedules, and evaluates TUMK employees.

Develops & oversees budget.

Assure that the program complies with all DHEC, DSS, and Fire Marshall regulations that govern the operation of the program.

Assures compliance with the policies of the TUMC Kindergarten Board and Trinity UMC.

Communicates policies, procedures, and standards for staff and children to staff, parents, & the Kindergarten Board.

Reports to all necessary boards of TUMC including the Kindergarten Board, Staff Parish Relations Committee, and the Administrative Board of TUMC in a clear, effective, and timely manner.

Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or another appropriate degree area and have experience managing others and proposing and following a budget. In addition, applicants should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work independently and as a team player.

Director of Youth Ministry - full-time

Director of Children and Youth Ministries

St Matthew UMC in Greenville SC is currently seeking a full time Director of Children and Youth Ministries.

Purpose: To make our youth and children disciples of Jesus Christ by building relationships with Saint Matthew children and youth that foster their personal trust in, knowledge of, dependence upon, and love for Jesus Christ.

Scope:To provide leadership in evaluating, planning, conducting, and maintaining a comprehensive children and youth ministry in cooperation with the Youth Council, Pastor and other applicable committees.

Skills/Education Requirements:
Degree in Youth Ministry (preferred) or in the process of achieving ministerial degree. Preferred to have course work in Bible and Religion, Adolescent Development, Counseling, or Psychology. Knowledgeable of Wesleyan heritage and theology beneficial.
