Greetings.  Thank you very much for the work you are doing at Old Mutare where shortage of water has been a problem for many years. I have been briefed by the Mission officials and I endorse that any work which can enhance water supply in any way at Old Mutare be done as a matter of urgency.

Grace and Peace,
Bishop Nhiwatiwa
Zimbabwe Annual Conference

Africa University has been a ministry of the United Methodist Church since its approval by the 1988 General Conference.  The University was opened in 1992 and currently has nearly 1,000 students from all over the continent of Africa. The rapid expansion of the student body has resulted in increased need for additional facilities. A number of annual conference in the United States have made major contributions to Africa University by raising funds to construct dormitories and class room buildings. This proposal challenges the South Carolina Annual Conference to raise the funds to construct and provide maintenance endowment for a building for the School of Theology. The proposal also includes funds for endowed scholarships for the School of Theology.
